Job Summary

The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces and experiences for a variety of software applications. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, solution architects, project managers, and business analysts, to translate user needs and business objectives into compelling design solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user interface design, user experience principles, and a passion for creating user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research and Analysis
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Analyze research findings to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
• UI/UX Design
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that align with project requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Develop prototypes and mockups using tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with developers to ensure feasibility of designs and smooth implementation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align design solutions with business objectives.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Usability Testing
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback on design prototypes.
  • Analyze test results and iterate designs based on user feedback and data.
• Design Systems and Standards
  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency across applications.
  • Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Accessibility and Compliance
  • Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to provide inclusive user experiences.
  • Consider internationalization and localization aspects in design for global audiences.
• Graphic Design Support
  • Assist with creating visual assets such as icons, illustrations, and graphics as needed.
  • Support marketing and branding efforts with design materials when required.
• Documentation
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation of design processes, guidelines, and user flows.
  • Provide clear specifications and assets for development teams.
• Project Management
  • Manage design tasks and timelines efficiently, especially when working on multiple projects.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and deliverables to project managers promptly.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
  • Experience working on a variety of software development projects across different industries.
  • Proven track record of designing user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Technical Skills
  • Design Tools
    • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
  • Graphic Design
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or other graphic design tools.
  • User-Centered Design
    • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and interaction design.
  • HTML/CSS
    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts is a plus.
  • Accessibility
    • Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
  • Additional Skills
    • Understanding of responsive design and cross-platform compatibility.
    • Experience with motion design and micro-interactions is an advantage.
• Soft Skills
  • Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
  • Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work, including examples of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
• Language Skills
  • Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Availability
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours as needed.
  • Ability to participate in meetings across different time zones if necessary.
• Legal Authorization
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the country of residence.
